The PHL Home Visiting Service provides clinical visits to patients within their own homes across the Hampshire Area across a 24-hour period, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We strive to continue to be the leading figure in the Home Visiting sector, not only in Hampshire, but throughout the UK.
Our Home Visiting Service operates a fleet of 15 PHL-branded service vehicles that are always ready to rapidly respond to both urgent and routine home visiting requests. This service is supported by our dedicated team of over 150 employees, made up of drivers, dispatchers, clinicians, fleet assistants and Home Visiting Managers.
Patients access the service via the NHS 111 service which is operated by our local partners the South Central Ambulance Service.
Following a call back to a patient, the clinician will decide the most appropriate intervention for the patient’s needs – this might be booking the patient a face to face appointment at an Out of Hours Clinic as near to home as possible, or for frail, elderly and housebound members of the population sending a suitably qualified clinician in a PHL car to undertake a home visit.

‘Best in Class’
The service regularly achieves its target KPI of over 95% of cases being seen on time every month and this is through the hard work and dedication that our operational and clinical teams put in, working together with colleagues within the CAS and other PHL teams, to ensure that patient safety is the top priority.
