Yesterday, PHL Group proudly partnered with Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) to provide a series of comprehensive health checks for veterans in Portsmouth.
The initiative offered veterans the opportunity to access a full range of assessments, including lifestyle reviews, height and weight measurements, BMI, resting pulse, blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes screening. In addition, tailored lifestyle guidance and advice were provided to support long-term health and wellbeing.
As a Veternas Aware organisation and Silver Award holder of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), PHL Group is committed to supporting veterans, both as employees and within the wider communities we serve. This latest event reflects our ongoing dedication to honouring and caring for those who have served.
Sean Jenkins, Custody Service Manager at PHL Group and a veteran himself, played a key role in organising the initiative. He said:
“It was fantastic to see so many veterans come forward for these checks. Supporting the veteran community is something we’re deeply passionate about, and I’m proud that PHL continues to lead on initiatives like this.”
PHL Group hopes this event will be the first of many veteran health check days to be delivered across the country.
